How this website handles information.
Connecting Directories is the community-directory brand of Cathedral Directories. This notice covers the public website at connectingdirectories.com and the brochure, sample, advertising, and contact forms on it.
Information you submit
Depending on the form, we may collect your name, organization, email address, phone number, organization type, estimated membership or household count, message, and the page from which you submitted the request. We use that information to respond, understand the request, and keep a working record of the conversation.
Do not submit a resident roster or other sensitive directory-production file through a website contact form. Call 248-545-1415 to confirm the appropriate production-file process first.
Analytics and bot protection
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate website use, such as pages visited, approximate device and browser information, and interactions with the site. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated form submissions. Google and Cloudflare may process network and device information under their own terms.
Storage, notifications, and retention
Website form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and generate a notification for Cathedral Directories staff. Each D1 form record receives an expiration date 180 days after submission; expired rows are purged when a later submission is handled. Related email and business follow-up records may remain longer when needed to respond, maintain an account history, or meet legal and operational obligations.
Our form application does not write your IP address or browser user-agent into the lead record. Cloudflare and other network providers may still process connection data to host and protect the site.
Sharing and sale
We use service providers to host the site, protect forms, measure site use, store submissions, and notify staff. We do not sell information submitted through these website forms.
Resident-directory information
The association controls which resident fields are authorized for its directory. It should send only the fields the edition needs and omit children’s birthdates and other unnecessary sensitive information. Directory-production files follow a separate workflow from website leads; ask us about that workflow before sending resident information.
